Southern Cross Hospital Supplies (SCHS) is an Australian owned company.
Established in 1991 with the purpose of providing hospitals with an alternative to the high cost and inflexibility of imports, we offered a range of single use Breathing Circuits that could be tailored to a customer's needs.
Over the years we have developed long standing relationships with our customers in both the public and private hospital sectors, and have expanded our range to include complimentary, imported, specialty devices particularly in the anaesthetic and respiratory speciality areas.
In 2000, manufacturing was brought in house with the acquisition of a sterile product range that not only broadened our services to customers but also increased our capabilities to offer new customised products.
The manufacturing facility is based in Sydney, which is audited on a regular basis, conforms with Australian Regulatory Guidelines for medical devices and ISO 9001 allowing all our products to be included on the ARTG.
Our challenge is to continue to satisfy our long standing customers and to develop relationships with new customers.
New products are in the pipeline as synergistic extensions to the Respiratory Range.
Only with the support of our customers will we be able to continue to offer choice, either in providing customised product or as a cost efficient source of supply for routine products.
Southern Cross Hospital Supplies, as the name implies, is a company dedicated to sourcing and supplying products required by hospitals to allow their staff to safely and effectively treat patients.
As a supplier, our philosophy is based on two principles;
- Firstly, to maintain continuity of supply to our established customers.
- Secondly, to provide an extensive range of quality products for selected medical specialities and to offer the choice of customized products assembled to meet individual customer's needs.
Our aim is to establish mutually beneficial relationships with our customers by supplying quality, cost competitive products for routine use.
Our existing customers can secure further cost savings by ordering other products in our range.
We will continue to invest, locally, in people and in manufacturing new products that provide either improved clinical outcomes, convenience or cost effectiveness.
